9% Growth in 2013

Bachmann electronic increases turnover and continues to develop its business segments

Bachmann electronic headquarters in Feldkirch, Austria.

The Bachmann Group increased its turnover last year by nine percent, totaling 48.20 million euros for financial year 2013. Strategic actions lead to a trend reversal and let the international high-tech company look optimistically into the future.

The world's no. 1 in wind automation

The Feldkirch-based company was able to strengthen its market share of over 50% in the automation of wind power plants, and to increase continuously with more than 70,000 systems installed. "The fairy-tale merger with Bachmann Monitoring in Rudolstadt, Thüringen, who was able to double its turnover since the merger in 2010, was also a key factor. Another promising market in the next years will definitely be the USA, there our Condition Monitoring and Retrofit products are already well-established", explains Bernhard Zangerl, CEO Bachmann electronic.

Strategic development of target industries
With consistent developments in the industries, thorough planning and careful management of resources, the target sectors of Bachmann electronic could be further extended. The wide setup of the company in the areas of wind energy, renewable energies, industry and machine tools as well as marine and offshore becomes noticeable in stability, despite often and fast changing conditions within individual markets. Around half of the sales volume is generated in the wind industry - however, with portfolio extensions and targeted market developments, Bachmann electronic anticipates continuous sales increase in all industries.

Positive outlook for 2014
For 2014 the automation specialist expects continuous growth and will further its strategic positioning in the serviced markets. "Flexibility and adaptability will continue to be prerequisite for a positive result. The course for a successful 2014 will be set with strategic developments in the industries and markets, such as in Asia or North America", says Bernhard Zangerl.
