Netherlands-based Dromec is a leading specialist in winch technology. After commissioning Bachmann to set up a vibration monitoring system on a fishing vessel gearbox, Dromec began to uncover the enormous potential behind sensor-based vibration monitoring.
As well as successful early damage indication and predictive maintenance, Dromec uses the insights from its condition monitoring (CM) as a key input for new product development.
The Dromec team was surprised by the extent of new discoveries brought to the surface. Over the long term, CM facilitates an even more in-depth understanding of the application, based purely on data from the system itself.
