LTE partnership strengthens sustainable energy generation
Bachmann electronic, P. E. Concepts and Deutsche Windtechnik are cooperating
The LTE partnership between Bachmann electronic and P. E. Concepts took an important step forward last year: With the addition of Deutsche Windtechnik, the trio can offer a comprehensive solution for Lifetime Extension (LTE) of wind turbines.
The three companies emphasize that the collaboration between them is an important step on the road to sustainable energy generation. “Our common goal is to extend the lifetime of wind turbines and thus increase the economic benefit for operators,” explains Marc Thomsen, product manager at Bachmann.
The combination of Bachmann hardware and software for recording, evaluating load signals and assessments by P. E. Concepts, as well as practical testing by Deutsche Windtechnik, enables wind turbine operators to operate their plants safely and efficiently, thus maximizing economic benefits, according to the three partners.
“We can significantly improve the theoretical calculation models using the data from Bachmann in order to reduce uncertainty – this often means a considerably higher calculated remaining service life for our clients,” Matthias Saathoff from P.E. Concepts explained.
Christoph Trautvetter describes the role of Deutsche Windtechnik: “As an accredited inspection center, we are pleased to contribute our expertise in the area of technical inspections of wind turbines to the partnership.”
According to the three companies, the cooperation between Bachmann electronic, P. E. Concepts and Deutsche Windtechnik enables an optimized solution for the continued operation of wind turbines. Compared to conventional lifetime extension tests, the additional consideration of load measurement data recorded over several months permits the more secure exploitation of remaining utilization potential and a reduction of risks in the continued operation phase.
