Bachmann electronic demonstrates expertise on two continents
Participation in trade fairs and events brought interesting contacts
In spring 2024, Bachmann electronic showcased its concentrated expertise in the maritime sector at various trade fairs and events. These included the 2nd Technology Symposium in Hamburg, the 9th Ship & Port Conference “Maritime 4.0”, the ISF conference in Flensburg, the Navalia trade fair in Vigo, the Asia-Pacific Shipping Fair in Singapore, and the Sea Japan trade fair in Tokyo.
2nd Technology Symposium by Bachmann electronic and HANSA
Together with HANSA-Verlag, Bachmann electronic organized its 2nd Technology Symposium in Hamburg in May.
Under the motto “Modern energy supply - on land and at sea”, 74 experts gathered on deck 10 of the Maritime Museum in Hamburg to compare solutions for energy supply and energy management on land and in shipbuilding. Nine speakers presented technological implementations and gave exclusive insights into current projects. This resulted in exciting discussions and stimulating conversations that make a valuable contribution to the further development of these areas.
Bachmann and HANSA have built a bridge between two industries with this event - because learning from each other means benefiting from each other. The conclusion was: whether on land or at sea, an intelligent energy supply and equally complex energy management are essential.
Maritime 4.0” conference
Experts from the maritime industry met at the 9th “Maritime 4.0” Ship & Port Conference to discuss the latest developments in the areas of digitalization and autonomous shipping. Dirk Knollmann and Christoph Schwärzler from Bachmann gave a presentation on the topic of “M-Target - Potential of efficient engineering”. This presentation underlined Bachmann's commitment to continuous innovation and progress in the maritime world.
Information conference on ship operation research in Flensburg
At the 45th IFS conference in Flensburg on May 24, the focus was not only on experiences from operational ship operations, but also on innovative solutions. Between the technical presentations, the participants were given an exclusive insight into the Bachmann PLC training center. Together with the sensor manufacturer Dr. Horn, Bachmann electronic demonstrated ideal conditions for integrating automation directly into the curriculum. Bachmann also supported the evening event on the steamship Alexandra.
LISA Summit 2024
Pelle de Jong and Gert Jan Huisink have been active in the maritime industry since 1994 and have been organizing special events for ship owners and suppliers since 2018. They are always overwhelmed by the positive reactions of the participants.
At this year's two-day LISA Summit, the tables were filled with experienced professionals: Superintendents, Fleet Managers, IT Managers, Technical Directors, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) Managers, Project Engineers, Procurement Managers, Company Owners and, for the 5th time, Bachmann's maritime specialists.
Each participant of the LISA Summit was invited by a trusted person, either a customer or a supplier. The event provided a framework for interesting discussions and contacts with plenty of time to share practical challenges, product experiences and best practices.
Showcasing at maritime trade fairs
At the Navalia trade fair in Vigo (Spain), Bachmann presented its technological innovations, including the M100 I/O system and other pioneering technologies in the field of maritime automation. Bachmann was also represented at the Asia-Pacific Shipping Fair in Singapore and Sea Japan in Tokyo. The focus here was on emission-free shipping solutions.
By participating in so many events, Bachmann electronic is demonstrating its commitment to advancing the digital transformation and development of the maritime industry. Bachmann was able to successfully use the trade fairs and events to demonstrate its expertise in the field of maritime automation and digital transformation and to make further important contacts.
