TOP 100 - Award for Research & Development

The 6^th of April, 2022 was another special day for Bachmann electronic: the TOP 100 companies in Vorarlberg were honored at the Zumtobel Group's ‘Light Forum’ in Dornbirn.

Award winners in various categories were announced following an opening speech from Austrian Chancellor, Karl Nehammer, who spoke passionately and objectively on current events, such as the war in Ukraine, ongoing lack of resources, and economic development.

Bachmann electronic was awarded first place in the research and development category. In 2021, Bachmann invested around 20% of its turnover in R&D, including innovative projects with universities and institutions, as well as international joint research projects.

In his acceptance speech, Bachmann CEO Bernhard Zangerl referred to the importance of these investments as a technological leader. "We have never tried do things cheaply, but we have always been able to produce top-class technology; this is what distinguishes Bachmann and will also determine our path into the future," said Zangerl. If these investments bear fruit, then Bachmann’s record year in 2021 will soon be beaten once again, at least according to the company's strategy. "Certainly, the current shortage of resources and skilled workers affect us like any other business, but we are positive about the future and will use our strengths to overcome these challenges," said Zangerl confidently.
