M-Target for Simulink® enables rapid implementation of algorithms developed in MATLAB®/ Simulink® on the M1 automation system. Processes are presented in the simulation environment of MATLAB® and suitable control and regulation strategies are developed for this. The overall system can be varied as often as desired in the computer simulation, before trials are executed on real prototypes of machines and plants. Automatic code generation enables transfer of the developed algorithms to the controller and automatically establishes the connection to the input/ output modules used.
